• Breathwork Mastery & Breath Attunement

  • Rebirthing Breathwork Mastery (RBM) is a breath and body awareness practice. The breath is gentle, consciously connected and inhaled and exhaled through the nose for a 90 min cycle, which brings your nervous system into a parasympathetic balance, creating a deep sense of safety and activating an altered state of consciousness.

This is a self-generated experience where you can release and reprogram limiting beliefs and patterns that aren’t serving your current intentions and anchor in support for deep self-awareness and empowerment.

Full sessions include space to set intentions, a 90 min breath cycle, followed by debriefing to support finding the connections to your intention and allow space for integration.

Rebirthing Breathwork Mastery was founded by Alakh Analda.

  • Breath Attunment is a modified version of RBM used for larger groups or at-home self-practice using digital audio.

The same principles of RBM are used however the duration of the breath cycle is shortened from 90 mins to between 10-30 mins. There is also no direct availability to dialogue during a session and there is less emphasis on connecting the breathes.

These modifications are made to keep the session a safe experience able to be held in a self-generated capacity.

Katie-Anne began her breathwork journey breathing in this style using at-home audio before training in the full 90min RBM style.

  • The connection between breath, mind, and spirit dates back to many ancient civilizations and indigenous cultures. The breath is thought to be both about the air we take in through our lungs, and also the spiritual life force within us.

Breathwork of the modern age started in the 1960s when the idea of raising consciousness entered into the collective mainly by two humans: Leonard Orr and Stanislav Grof.

‍Leonard Orr founded the Rebirthing Breathwork movement which is the style most similar to RBM, using consciously connected nasal breathing for a 90 minutes cycle.

“As new yoga, Rebirthing is not a discipline. It is an inspiration. It is not teaching a person how to breathe, it is the intuitive and gentle act of learning how to breathe from the breath itself. It is connecting the inhale with the exhale in a relaxed, intuitive rhythm until the inner breath, which is the Spirit and source of breath itself, is merged with air — the outer breath.” —Leonard Orr

Dr. Stanislav Grof worked with LSD for many years as a therapeutic tool and found that the “non-ordinary states of consciousness” that his patients were able to access had tremendous healing power. When LSD was banned, he developed Holotropic Breathwork to replicate these altered healing states.

“This seemingly simple process, combining breathing, evocative music and other forms of sound, bodywork, and artistic expression, has an extraordinary potential for opening the way for exploring the entire spectrum of the inner world.” — Dr. Stanislav Grof
